Save the date for our first quarterly release

Background
OSFI is piloting a new approach to the way we release regulatory guidance.
We will release our regulatory guidance on one day of each quarter. This announcement will include a media briefing and a high-level stakeholder briefing. The regulatory guidance supports critical financial risks as identified by the Annual Risk Outlook.
A virtual industry day will be held two weeks later where stakeholders can ask questions or share comments on our initiatives for that quarter.
This new standardized approach will make OSFI’s work more predictable and transparent. It will also streamline our releases of regulatory guidance and the timing of information sessions.
Event details
Our first quarterly announcement will be held on August 22, 2024, followed by an industry day on September 5, 2024 (details to come).
We will publish the following items:
- Public Disclosure of Crypto-Asset Exposures
- Guideline E-21 on Operational Risk and Resilience
- Life Insurance Capital Adequacy Test (LICAT)
- Memorandum to the Appointed Actuary
Media briefing
